Sudi's filter cone method

Filter cone/V60 Sudi’s favourite method to make her perfect brew is with a filter cone/V60. While it takes a little bit of patience, it is well worth the wait. It creates a light bodied coffee, allowing delicate notes and more flavours to come through.

Step-by-step method

  1. Use 20 g coffee (fine–medium grind)
  2. Heat 330 ml water to 93–96 °C
  3. Fold and place filter paper in the cone
  4. Rinse filter with hot water, then discard water
  5. Add coffee and level the bed
  6. Start timer
  7. Bloom with 40–60 g water for 30 seconds
  8. Slowly pour remaining water in a spiral motion (total brew time 2–3 min)
  9. Optional: gently stir for extra agitation
  10. Swirl, pour, and enjoy
