Sudi's filter cone method
Filter cone/V60 Sudi’s favourite method to make her perfect brew is with a filter cone/V60. While it takes a little bit of patience, it is well worth the wait. It creates a light bodied coffee, allowing delicate notes and more flavours to come through.
Step-by-step method
- Use 20 g coffee (fine–medium grind)
- Heat 330 ml water to 93–96 °C
- Fold and place filter paper in the cone
- Rinse filter with hot water, then discard water
- Add coffee and level the bed
- Start timer
- Bloom with 40–60 g water for 30 seconds
- Slowly pour remaining water in a spiral motion (total brew time 2–3 min)
- Optional: gently stir for extra agitation
- Swirl, pour, and enjoy
