SIP SUSTAINABLY : This Month’s Coffee Does More.
At Change Please, we're about more than just great coffee; we're about making a real difference. While our mission is to fuel change in people’s lives, we're equally committed to doing so sustainably. The farms in Patrocínio, one of the oldest coffee growing regions in Brazil’s Cerrado, produce some of the country’s finest coffee. These farms are situated at altitudes of over 3,000 ft, with some reaching 4,000 ft, creating the perfect environment for exceptional beans.
Ensuring our coffee is grown ethically in the right conditions, where weather, soil, and altitude come together to create something truly special. And it’s also about supporting the farmers behind every bean, many of whom are based in developing countries.
Daterra, one of our carefully selected farms in Brazil, is a prime example. It was one of the first farms to be certified by the Rainforest Alliance and the first in the world to receive a Level A certification. This month’s specialty coffee, Welcome Guest, comes from Daterra, offering rich notes of milk chocolate, hazelnut, and gooseberry.
We’re proud to serve coffee that makes a positive impact. Daterra currently preserves over 3,000 hectares (nearly 4,000 football pitches) of land for environmental conservation. They’ve recently completed a reservoir that will irrigate the entire farm by 2030, and they’ve installed a solar farm that generates enough electricity to power 120 local homes. They also have their own nursery, where they’re planting native trees to create wildlife corridors. Partnerships like these help us ensure that every cup of coffee does more.
