Launch of new David Lloyd Bus
We have proudly launched the Driving for Change bus in partnership with David Lloyd Clubs.
More than just a bus, this specially converted double-decker has been six months in the making. It’s a safe space offering dignity, opportunity, and hope for those experiencing homelessness in London. Visitors on the bus will receive healthcare checks, dental support, haircuts, financial advice, and even a dedicated wellness area where visitors can relax and take part in mindfulness activities.
For the past five years, our partnership with David Lloyd Clubs has shown what’s possible when businesses and social enterprises work together. Together, we’ve:
☕ Raised and invested £4.5 million to tackle homelessness
👩🎓 Trained 65 graduates through Change Please programmes
🏠 Helped more than 230 people into jobs and housing
💼 Created 10 barista roles this year in our clubs
🤝 Volunteered hundreds of hours running wellbeing workshops and mentoring programmes
And employed countless Change Please graduates in their clubs, giving them the chance to build lasting careers and futures.
Russell Barnes, David Lloyd Clubs CEO, said at the launch:
“This is a very special milestone. The Driving for Change bus will bring vital services directly to people who need them most across London. We are thrilled to play a part in making this happen.”
