Explore our Farms - Brazil

Lands with personality and altitude

Steady climate, dry-fresh winters, warm-wet summers. Dry winds on pleasantly hot days and refreshingly cool nights, is the perfect condition for amazing beans to be grown. This is what you find in the region where Daterra farms are located.

The farms in the city of Patrocínio are the oldest coffee plantations in Brazilian Cerrado region, and it is amongst the best coffee producing areas in the country. All plantations are located at an average altitude of over 3.000 ft and some terroirs are around 4.000 ft.

Wind, sun and soil are exceptional for Arabica trees. The diverse altitudes and microclimates create conditions that will surprise the palate with a range of flavors from velvet-chocolate to bright-flowery profiles.

Coffee that is truly green

Daterra not only produces some of the best coffees, they are committed through sustainable agriculture to producing coffee for a better world.

Daterra was the 1st farm in Brazil to be certified Rainforest Alliance and the 1st farm in the world to receive level A certification from Rainforest Alliance.

They currently have over 3,000 hectares (almost the size of 4,000 football pitches) of land preserved for environmental conservation. Within this, they have just finished installing their own reservoir which will irrigate 100% of the farm by 2030. They have a solar farm on their land which produces enough electricity to power 120 homes in the local area and they have their own nursery where they are planting native trees to create wildlife corridors.

Beyond sustainable solutions, Daterra are pioneers in coffee innovation, designing equipment to process and sort the coffee in a more sustainable and efficient way.
