Celebrating B Corp Month: Hazel Auty
As part of our B Corp Month celebrations, Hazel Auty, our Head of Wholesale, shares why achieving B Corp certification is such a proud milestone for us. She highlights our commitment to partnering with like-minded organisations, supporting people experiencing homelessness, and continuously enhancing our sustainability efforts.
"At Change Please, we only work with partners who align with our values and care just as much as we do about social impact and sustainability for the environment. We take huge care in who we work with and as much as possible, we partner with other B Corp associations and other social enterprises and make sure that we all have the same goals at the heart of what we do.
As Head of Wholesale, being able to speak to our customers about B Corp certification has been hugely exciting. We're so proud to be able to tell our customers that we have secured B Corp certification. It's a long process, there's a lot of information needed, and it gives people the assurance that we care so much about the environmental and ethical sustainability, as well as the people that we help through our social impact, particularly like Change Please.
We support people experiencing homelessness so people can get a great cup of coffee, but they're also supporting initiatives where local people are supported to help get back on their feet. We've made huge moves forwards in the last couple of years and we're so proud to be able to share that we have
B Corp certification, that our coffees of Rainforest Alliance certified and that we have been awarded carbon neutral gold standard. And we're hugely excited to plan forwards about how we can develop our sustainability initiatives, help produce the farmers at Origin and share that news with our customers. "
