April’s coffee is from an amazing cooperative social enterprise - Aprocassi - which aims to improve the social and economic livelihoods of local farmers in the San Ignacio region of Peru. They achieve this through the provision of technical assistance and education in sustainable farming practices.
As a cooperative, farmers that are a part of Aprocassi can come together through shared marketing, allowing their coffees to break into the speciality markets.
Produced by various smallholders, this batch of coffee is incredibly easy drinking and has a deep caramel sweetness and a comforting chocolate finish – a perfect coffee for a Saturday afternoon.
